If you have joined a new company that offers an occupational pension scheme you may be able to transfer your benefits to the new employer’s pension scheme. Additionally, if you are remaining with your employer and a new scheme is being put in place, you may be able to transfer your benefits to the new plan.
You should note that this can only be done if:
i) the new plan is willing and able to accept the transfer, and
ii) if accepting the transfer is permitted within the rules of the new plan.
You should note that the rules regarding transfer to a new employer’s PRSA are different to those regarding transfer into a new employer’s pension scheme
